HTL – company chronicle
HTL solves logistics problems – and we have a wealth of experience.
HTL additionally expanded its portfolio to include the air charter and on-board courier segments. At the same time it also modernised the visual appearance of its vehicles. Over the next few years the company plans to successively switch to a black basic design with a modified version of the HTL branding for its entire fleet. At the same time the company is investing in two new 12-tonners and two more 7.5-ton vehicles.
HTL began providing temperature-controlled special transportation. The company decided to use its own specialised fleet of vehicles for this purpose. Furthermore, it expanded its range of services in the field of part and complete load transportation.
In order to keep pace with the continually growing volume of orders, HTL GmbH made additional major investments in its fleet of vehicles, which was expanded to include five new 12-ton trucks, three 7.5-tonners and three new covered vans. In addition, HTL established a new service department with the task of offering customers even more individual logistical support. Regardless of whether its customers required return loads, shipment monitoring or deviation reports, the new service department was designed to provide them with professional services.
HTL GmbH expanded its range of services to include mixed cargo as well as part and complete loads, thereby reacting to the increased market demand for these services. Customers of HTL GmbH were very happy with the Europe-wide, door-to-door delivery of their mixed cargo and the company’s tailor-made solutions, even for small-scale shipments.
In 2008 HTL GmbH made some sizeable investments in its vehicle fleet and the Mülheim-based company began operating articulated vehicles to transport goods for its customers throughout Europe.
HTL GmbH had meanwhile established itself as a leading provider of logistics services throughout Europe and, together with PROFEX Couriersystem, began to offer comprehensive services from over 30 European locations. In addition to its core competence in the fields of time-critical direct and special deliveries as well as international procurement logistics, specialised solutions such as air charter and on-board courier services completed the company’s range of services.
As the company continued to grow, in 2004 Hilmar Heubach changed its legal form to that of a GmbH. The company name was also changed to HTL GmbH (Heubach Transport Logistik) in order to adequately reflect its new market positioning.
After three successful years and considerable company growth, as managing partner Hilmar Heubach organised the “PROFEX Couriersystem” courier network, working in a spirit of partnership together with other express specialists throughout Germany with the aim of providing a comprehensive service nationwide based on uniform quality standards. Its degree of integration in the system thus enabled Heubach Transporte to offer a very special service: the ability to collect a shipment anywhere in Germany within 60 minutes. This unique service made the Mülheim-based company an even more useful partner for a great number of major customers, who now began to entrust Heubach Transporte with the processing of their procurement logistics.
Due to the growing demand for urgent express services, in 1999 Hilmar Heubach decided to concentrate the company’s strategy on the field of time-critical transportation and formed the company Heubach Transporte. The new concept was a success and met with a positive market response.
As there had not been a comparable courier service in the region up to that point, within a short time the first industrial customers began to be interested in the services the Mülheim-based company was offering.
Back in 1996 HTL Managing Director Hilmar Heubach laid the foundation for the range of services HTL GmbH now offers its customers. Together with a former partner he founded the “H&S Kurier” courier service in Mülheim with the main focus on furniture transportation and time-sensitive courier services.
